About Jack

Hi my name’s Jack Douglas. I’m 34 years old and have been a full time tattooist for 11+

years, operating primarily out of Melbourne.

I became fascinated by tattooing at an early age, and would frequently pester artists at my local studios, poring over their flash books and magazines and obsessing over the use of colour and the composition on the body. Fueled by an obsession with anything outside of the norm, I later gravitated towards graffiti in my teens as well as skateboard art, anime, cartoons, comics and video games. Completing a degree in Fine Arts at VCA in 2009 led me to travel and begin building my portfolio. I was fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to learn tattooing under Ed Lim of Forgotten Sons and the rest is history.

Over the last several years I’ve sought to learn multiple styles and subject matters within tattooing and have endeavoured to improve and learn as much as possible. Not wanting to be pigeon-holed into one particular style, I’ve delved into Oriental, American Traditional, Neo Traditional, Black and Grey, Colour Realism, Illustrative/ Newschool, Anime and Pop Culture Art. Although I definitely wouldn’t consider myself to be a master of any of these, I’m constantly striving to improve my skills and offer the best tattoos for my clients I possibly can.
